Creating and Sharing a Wishlist on Homebrew Supply

Sometimes explaining the homebrewing items you want for your birthday, Christmas, or other occasion can feel like trying to teach your great grandmother how to use the DVR, and then actually go back and watch what was recorded. It doesn't always go so well. Homebrew Supply however, has made things a bit easier for you and your family. You can create a wishlist and share it with those looking to buy you a gift, and even add notes to each item as you see fit. Personally, I'd work on convincing your fiance that your wedding registry should be here too, but that's a story for another time. Here's how to create a custom wishlist and send it out to those in need of it.

Creating Your Custom Wishlist

First, you'll need to be logged in to your account. If you don't have an account, you can create one for free right here. In addition to the wishlists feature, you can save multiple shipping addresses, and quickly re-order your favorite recipes. Once logged in, you're ready to make your wishlist.

Adding Items to Your Wishlist: To add an item to your wishlist, go to the item you want to add and select "Add to Wishlist". Remember you must be logged in. If you're not, you will be prompted to log in or create an account.

Once the item is added, you will receive a popup that says the item was added to your wishlist. If you're not logged in you will instead receive the prompt to log in or create an account.

Accessing Your Wishlist: To view, edit, and share your list, go to your account page. On the left sidebar you will see an option to go to your list.

Adding Notes and Sharing: In this menu, you have the option to add notes to those receiving your list. For example in "A" below, I added notes about the recipe kit's extra add-ons. You also can add items to your cart from here instead of sending it out. Once you are ready to share your list with friends and family, select "Share Wishlist" (Arrow "B").

Sharing Via Email or Social Media: After clicking the share button, you have the option of sharing through social media like Facebook or Twitter, sharing a direct link, or sharing by email. To share by email, click the "Share Wishlist by Email" button.

A new menu will popup where you can input email addresses and add an extra note. First input any email addresses you want to receive your list. Separate each email with a comma. Then in the second field, add in any extra information your recipients may need.

Here is what the emailed version of your list will look like. The subject of the email will say "Take a look at "Your Name's" wishlist. Then inside they will find the extra note you added, and links to each item. The comments you added to items are also visible.
