Pumpkin Ales became wildly popular during the recent "pumpkin spice craze" and can be brewed many different ways as pale ales, porters, wheat beers and stouts. Many use pumpkin spice (such as ours), and others prefer to use real pumpkins or canned pumpkins. The perfect beer for the holidays.
- Batch Size: 5 Gallons
- Mash at 163
- Ferment at 66 – 68 degrees
- Est. Original Gravity: 1.065 SG
- Est. Final Gravity: 1.017 SG
- Est. Alcohol by Volume: 8%
- Bitterness: 20 IBUs
- Est. Color: 12 SRM
- Pale Ale
- Caramel 60L
- Pumpkin Spice
- German Hallertau Mittelfruh Hop Pellets
- Gut out a pumpkin
- Remove all the seeds
- Bake the pumpkin insides at 350F for 50 minutes
- After the pumpkin cools to room temperature add to the mash
