Looking to dip your toes into the amazing hobby that is homebrewing, and start making craft beer that will be sure to impress your guests? We were new to brewing at one point, and the most difficult part to getting going was deciding what we needed. We've made it easy to get going with our equipment kits, and the Starter Homebrew Kit is where we begin.
Our Starter Homebrew Kit comes with everything you need to brew a beer from start to finish (you'll need an ingredient kit of course). The only other thing you'll need is a 5+ gallon stainless steel kettle and a large spoon, and you'll be on your way to brewing your own beer!
See the product details below for a list of everything that's included.
6.5 Gallon Primary Fermenter
After you brew your beer you're going to need an air-tight container to ferment it in. This bucket does the trick.
Drilled and Grommeted Lid
Air-tight is the name of the game, and this lid fits sungly on the top of your fermenting bucket creating a tight seal when used with the airlock (also provided).
3 piece airlock
This piece blocks air and contaminents from entering your fermenter while allowing CO2 to escape. Watch it pop as your beer ferments.
6.5 Gallon Bottling Bucket with Bottling Spigot
After your beer ferments there's the task of bottling; which is made much easier with this bottling bucket.
Fine Mesh Straining Bag 12″ × 19″
Straining bags are used to hold grains during the brewing process making clarification much easier.
3/8” Auto-Siphon/Racking Cane with Tubing and Clamp
You'll need to move your beer from one container to another through the brew process. Just a couple of pumps of the auto-siphon will get your beer flowing. Clamp it to the side of your bucket and let it flow.
3/8" Bottle Filler
Bottle fillers allow beer to flow through them when their tip is pressed to the bottom of a bottle. Move the tip away from the bottom and beer will stop. Simple, and effective.
10" Plastic Test Jar
Avoid contamination and get an accurate reading using your hydrometer in this handy test jar.
Brewing good beer is an art and a science and much of that is temperature control. We got you covered with this accurate thermometer.
This tool is key to determining how much sugar you have in your brew (which is food for yeast in fermentation). You'll want to make sure you have it right on the money.
Beer Bottle Brush
We recommend reusing beer bottles for bottling your homebrew, but they got to be clean and sanitary. Combine this brush with a recommended cleanser to get your bottles in pristine order.
Red Head Capper and 50 Gold Bottle Caps
Many beginning homebrewers are surprised at how simple capping can be. This capper is a standard for many brewers. Bottle caps for your first batch also included! Each 5 gallon batch will yield about 48 bottles of beer.
8 oz B-BRITE™ Cleanser
Bacteria will ruin beer which makes sanitation vital to successful brewing, fermenting and bottling. B-Brite will be your friend through the entire process eliminating bacteria and leaving your gear ready to roll.
A guide to walk you through your first batch.
