Historically, a sweet stout is known as a 'milk' stout, with it's name coming from it's use of lactose (milk sugar) in the recipe. This adds to the beer's sweetness, and will give you a rich, full-bodied, roasted dark beer. Our recipe is our own take on a classic recipe, and will give you a rich, full-bodied Milk Stout that's richly flavored with hints of chocolate and caramel with a rich finish. You can't go wrong with this one, give it a try, we think you'll love it!

Sweet Milk Stout - Extract Recipe Kit Instructions
Milk Stouts are a thicker bodied stout style made with lactose (sugar from milk) to give this beer it's thicker body and add sweetness. They have a subdued hop profile, instead finding it's flavor and aroma from the malts that are used, with hints of caramel and chocolate. Typically, it's colors will range from a dark brown to black.
